Role Accountability

    Legal Vetting/Drafting

  • Legal vetting of service agreements of different departments
  • Legal vetting of letters sent to borrowers from branches
  • Drafting of MOU/Addendum signed by different departments
  • Reply to Notices

  • Draft replies to legal notices received
  • Advise the management on notices received
  • Checking of facts of notices
  • Court cases

  • Maintaining record of court cases of the bank
  • Maintain court dates and intimate branches for the same
  • Co-ordinating with lawyers and providing relevant data to pursue court cases
  • Appointment of Lawyers for court cases
  • Attending court
  • Taking monthly update from lawyers
  • Misc. Legal activities

  • Legal actions on NPA borrowers
  • Lawyer Bills
  • Advising the branches and management for legal matters
  • Preparation of policies related to legal matters in the banking industry


  • Knowledge of SARFAESI
  • Exposure of courts
  • Open to travel to branches across UP and MP including stay over as required
  • Must be organized and structured in their work approach
  • Ability to plan in advance is a must
  • Strategic thinker and good communication skills
  • Masters in Law is a must. Additionally, a JAIIB, CIIB would be preferred
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Must be managing or leading a team and be able to work with external consultants
  • Reporting to the HOD
