Shivalik Bank Business Correspondents (BCs)

The bank has initiated a program to appoint BCs in rural areas to provide banking services to unbanked areas in order to serve them in a better way. The bank has opened its first BC office in June 2013 at Nakur and has eventually grown to 12 BC offices in Saharanpur, Meerut, Noida and Indore as of March 31, 2016.
This has been done in partnership with Janhit Foundation, a Lucknow based NGO, registered under the Societies Act, 1860, in 2002 and also recognized/registered u/s 12 A (a) and 80 G (5) (VI) of Income Tax Act, 1961.Janhit Foundation’s vision is to improve access to affordable micro-credit, insurance, livelihood, health, education services, food, water and sanitation.
Additionally, Janhit Foundation is registered under FCRA and governed by a nine-member executive committee. In select BC offices the bank has also provided ATM-cum-CDM machines. Please note that Janhit Foundation, Lucknow, is not in any way related to another NGOwith a similar name based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
